Perch Place completes over 400 Kindergarten Screenings for the Utica City School District

In the Utica City School District, retired educators from Perch Place played an essential role in preparing Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) students for the transition to kindergarten. During May and June, these experienced professionals completed the Brigance Early Childhood Screener on more than 400 children, providing valuable insight into each student’s developmental readiness.

The screening assesses key areas such as language, motor skills, and academic concepts, helping schools better support children as they take this important step in their education.

Districts or programs interested in having Perch Place conduct screenings can contact Robin Robinson at (315) 880-0551 for more information.
