Karen Hinderling brings thirty-three years of experience in public education to her role as Director of Programs and Services at Perch Place Consulting. She began her career as an elementary teacher in the Oriskany Central School District, where she taught for twenty years. After leaving the classroom, Karen served as a Teacher on Special Assignment for five years, working as an Instructional Coach, New Teacher Mentor Program Coordinator, and Response to Intervention Specialist.
In February 2016, she became the Director of Technology and Elementary Principal at NA Walbran Elementary School. Karen later transitioned to a role as an Educational Technology Leader at the Mohawk Regional Information Center, serving districts including Holland Patent, Belleville-Henderson, and Dolgeville. In 2021, she became Principal of Memorial Park Elementary in the Waterville Central School District.
After retiring in August 2024, Karen joined Perch Place as Director of Programs and Services, where she continues to focus on supporting students and their families. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Utica University.
Karen lives in Clinton with her three sons, aged 19, 21, and 23. In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling. She is honored to be part of the Perch Place team and is excited about the opportunity to make a lasting impact in her community.
